Cedar Creek Falls

Cedar Creek Falls trailhead is located at 15519 Thornbush Road in Ramona, California. The rail can be reached from Julian, California by driving two miles to the west on Highways 78 and 79. When you reach Pine Hills Road turn left and continue for almost two miles until Eagle Peak Road which you will go to the right on.

You will follow Eagle Peak Road for just over eight miles until you reach the sign for the California Riding and Hiking Trail. The eight miles to the trail sign is part dirt and part paved road. The sign reading Saddleback Trail is where the actual trailhead is located.

Hiking to Cedar Creek Falls is a trip of four and a half miles round trip and takes almost three hours to complete so you want to be in shape for it. It is recommended that you wear sun screen and hat in addition to taking plenty of water with them for the hike. The trip is downhill to get to the falls and uphill to return. There is no diving or jumping into the pool allowed. Those visiting the Falls should remember that climbing on the rocks around them is dangerous.
