Sierra Nevada Brewing Company

Ken Grossman built a brewery in Chico, California in 1979. It is the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in which local craft brews can be found. Ken had a passion for brewing and chemistry gaining the education he needed to create a variety of brews. With Paul Camusi, Ken managed to get old equipment from defunct breweries to start up their business. By 1980 the company provided their first actual brew called the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

By 1997, the brewery had to expand due to the demand for their beer. Now they offer dining, live music, and beer. The beer can be shipped around the country or found locally. They offer the 350 seat Big Room for music and dining, especially for such things like events and conferences. Tours of the brewery are offered along with year round, seasonal, and special release brews. The tours are run daily from 10am to 6pm.

In their year round offerings they have a pale ale, porter, stout, Keller Weis, and Torpedo. Their seasonal beers include Glissade, Summer Fest, Tumbler, and Celebration. Under special releases are Bigfoot, Southern Hemisphere Harvest, Northern Hemisphere Harvest and Estate Home Grown Ale.
