The Dickens Cafe and Tea Bar, located inside The CURIOSITY Shop, is a full service cafe and tea room. The cafe serves soups, sandwiches and daily specials. The tea bar has over 120 loose leaf teas (fairtrade and organic) and tisanes. A Cream Tea is served daily. The food is homemade and the teas made fresh daily - no concentrates here. One of the favorite specdials is the bangers and mash served on Friday. We have free Wi-Fi. While not technically a pub we do serve pub grup along with an assortment of imported and domestic beers. Every other Tuesday we hold a Quiz Night with a buffet. And every month we host a High Tea by reservation. While The CURIOSITY Shop has been in business since 1998 we opened the Dickens only in 2011. Four members of our staff have been trained by the Speciality Tea Institute and are very familiar with our teas and tisanes and the serving of tea.
