Description: It’s a tribute to Tivoli’s quality that it has managed to endure for more than two decades hidden away in this Rosslyn high-rise. Perhaps it helps to have a bakery and carryout service of the same name on the ground floor—advertisement for the good things to come upstairs. This handsome dining room, rendered even more inviting by the wraparound windows and the strategically placed mirrors, is a good place to take clients or a first date. Tivoli bills itself as a northern Italian restaurant, and you’ll find many dishes napped in the rich sauces of that region. There are risottos and stuffed pastas, as well as old standards of the fettucine Alfredo ilk. You’ll also find some continental classics that you don’t often see anymore, like veal Oscar. This is a place to linger and enjoy your meal, an elegant, leisurely experience at prices that are surprisingly reasonable. They serve lunch weekdays and dinner Monday through Saturday. Tivoli is closed Sunday.
