Description: Designed by Lester George (with the help of PGA pro Robert Wrenn) and opened in 1995, this course is situated in Lanexa, on Diascund Road (which is off US Route 60, 7 miles west of the Williamsburg Pottery). It is a daily-fee course, carved out of dense woods and wetlands, with several holes overlooking the Chickahominy River. The daunting par 3 sixth hole is all carry over marshland to an elevated green. This championship course plays to a par 72 and is 6,886 yards long. Unique features include a three-hole practice course ($18, with cart and practice balls) and the Teaching Center and Golf Academy. Different rates apply for the various teaching and clinic packages, and reservations are appropriate. A round with cart (a must) ranges from $35 (weekday afternoons) to $70 (weekend mornings).
