Description: This is a holy shrine to many in the Bluegrass State. Best known as the home court of the University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team, Rupp Arena annually hosts over 350,000 fans who come to watch the greatest game in sports. It is situated in downtown Lexington and within five hours of major cities such as Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, and Atlanta; it takes about an hour and a half to drive there from Louisville. In addition to the men’s team, the University of Kentucky Women’s Basketball team, the UK Hoops, plays many of their games there as well, and every season sees a larger audience. But basketball isn’t the only sport played there; the Horsemen of Arena Football 2 have called Rupp Arena home since 2004, the year they won the National Championship.
