The purpose of this inspection is to conduct a routine inspection.
Foods service workers my have beverages in a cup with a lid and a straw that is stored so that it does not contaminate food, food contact surfaces or equipment.

  • Cooling Methods (corrected on site)
    Observation: Observed rice and cooked vegetables cooling covered, in large pans, without enough ice.
    Correction: To ensure proper cooling (135F to 70F within 2 hours) cool in small batches, uncovered, with pans buried in ice or placed in cooler or freezer. Foods must cool from 135F to 41F or less within no more than 6 hours.

    Observation: Through conversation and/or review of written policy, it was determined that the establishment's employee health policy (EHP) is not compliant with the Food Code because: gave manager new forms.
    Correction: Create and implement an EHP that: 1) requires employees to report certain symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, jaundice, sore throat with fever, or a lesion/infected wound) and illnesses (Norovirus, Hepatitis A, Salmonella Typhi, E. coli, or Shigella)

Not started operations. Probably name of facility is Top of the Town Catering. Spoke with owner of facility at time of inspection. He does not know if they will use his facilities. Reinspect when catering is due. Note on my desk from supervisor stating that the facility's owner came to the office and said she will start processing foods by May 15, 2015. Will inspect after that date.
