  • Critical: Package Integrity* (corrected on site)
    Observation: There was one can of stewed prunes, and one can of campbell's cream of mushroom soup, that each had a dent in the top seam, but were being stored on the shelves where the cans that are intended for service to the public are being stored.
    Correction: Cans with dents in top, bottom, or side seams may not be used for service to customers. Cans need to be carefully inspected as soon as the deliveries come in, and cases are being unpacked. Cans with dents in seams need to be immediately placed in a special area designated with a sign (which may be hand-written) which says "damaged cans only," until they can be returned for reimbursement. Or they may de discarded. This violation was immediately corrected by the establishment management.
