Maintain the corrected items as corrected. Good retail practices notes - please resurface or discard badly work cutting boards, increase cleaning frequency of splash zone of coffee machine. Note: observed a RA enter the kitchen and walk over to the ice machine without donning gloves and use small Styrofoam containers to scoop ice -> please train all staff with kitchen access to wash/don gloves and to use the designated scoop.

ACR 35491 A complaint was received that stated that 6 residents at this facility were ill with GI symptoms. EHS made a site visit. The Food Service Director had already left for the day due to an early shift. The Facility Director, Food Service Director (contacted via phone) all report that no kitchen staff have been ill recently. The Facility Director indicated that there were 3 cases with onset this morning and three of the cases with onset on 06/23/2014 appear to have been resolved. The kitchen staff had orders to make and serve 8 B.R.A.T. dinners. They are served on paper/disposable plates by separate staff. The dishwasher sanitized on the third run - monitor this equipment and adjust.train as needed. A serve was observed failing to change their gloves after placing a dirty dish in the rack - please train on this topic. Food Service Director indicated that staff has been trained on employee health policy since the last regular inspection -> EHS advised him to document these trainings.
