| Plan review conducted for Madison Elementary School. The following letter was sent to the applicant requesting more information. March 17, 2015 OWPR, Inc. Attn: Randy Jones, CEO 200 Country Club Drive Blacksburg, VA 24060 Dear Mr. Jones, The following items are needed to facilitate health department approval of the plans submitted for Madison Elementary School located at 905 Chance Place, Ruther Glen, VA 22546. With Regards to the plans: 1. An additional handsink is required in the food prep area. The location of the additional handsink must be shown on the plans. 2. Provide the information in the highlighted areas of the application for foodservice plan review packet including a signature and date on the last page. 3. Will the existing hot water heater be replaced? If so, provide specifications regarding the new hot water heater. 4. Will the existing mop sink be replaced or relocated? If so, please show on the plans. 5. Provide information on the materials being used to construct the new dry storage area and the warewashing area? | The above observations and the following were discussed with the person in charge: -Work order in place to repair the issue of standing water by the drain next to the ice machine coming from the drainage lines. -Standing water observed in the bottom of the milk box on the serving line, recommend monitoring the temperatures of this cooler and repair as needed. -Quaternary ammonium sanitizer in the 3 compartment sink measured at 200 ppm. Lots of good handwashing and glove use observed during this inspection, great job by all staff members! Please replace or repair the pipe as necessary to prevent the growth of bacteria and damage to the grout between the floor tiles in this area. The person in charge was very knowledgeable and cooperative throughout the inspection, thanks! | 3-compartment sink - 200 ppm quaternary ammonium WCB - 200 ppm chlorine Discussed: 1. Work order was previously placed for the milkbox on the serving line. Recommend storing less milk in milkbox until work order is completed. 2. RIC was measuring at an ambient air temperature of 47'F. Work order will be placed. Recommend not storing any PHF in unit until repaired. Bread, celery, other vegetables and fruit can remain in unit. 3. Recommend maintaining cooling logs. PIC demonstrated good active managerial control and was very knowledgeable about food safety. Observed good handwashing and glove usage. Thank you! Have a great summer.
