The purpose of this visit is to conduct a routine inspection. The hot water does not have a sufficient temperature for hand washing. Repair the walk-in refrigerator to maintain foods at 41°F or below

Observation: The following mechanical refrigeration unit is not currently operating as required to cold hold food at a temperature of 41°F or less: the walk-in refrigerator. The milk is 43°F it should be 41°F or below. Water is dripping from the walk-in refrigerator ceiling.
Correction: Refrigerators shall be capable of holding foods at a temperature of 41°F or below. Repair the unit(s) immediately. Foods exposed to temperature abuse for over 2 hours shall be discarded, otherwise, the foods shall be stored in properly operating refrigerators.

Observation: The plumbing system serving this food service facility has not been designed, constructed, and installed according to the Plumbing Code.
Correction: A plumbing system shall be designed, constructed, and installed according to Law.

Observation: Water from the handwashing sink at kitchen was measured at a temperature less than 100°F. The water in the kitchen is 80°F. The kitchen must be supplied with water that is at least 100°F.
Correction: A handwashing sink shall be equipped to provide water at a temperature of at least 100°F through a mixing valve or combination faucet.

Observation: Food service workers and vender only are permitted in the food preparation area. Observed teachers entering the food preparation area. FPM expressed that the snack cart would be relocated to an area outside the kitchen.
Correction: Restrict entry in the kitchen to only food service workers and venders.

Observation: Employee's open drinking container was improperly placed on the food preparation table. The open drinking cup was discarded during the inspection.
Correction: Employee's drinking containers must have a lid and a straw and be placed away from anything going to the students.

Observation: The following food item(s) were measured at improper temperatures: The hot dogs at the service line were 126°F. The hot dogs were discarded during the inspection.
Correction: Potentially hazardous foods (time/temperature control for safety food) shall be hot held at a temperature of 135°F or above.
