    Observation: The following food item(s) were observed cold holding at improper temperatures using a calibrated food temperature measuring device: Milk at 46F in refrigerator.
    Correction: Potentially hazardous foods (time/temperature conrol for safety food) shall be held cold at a temperature of 41°F or below. Discarded.

The purpose of this visit was to conduct a routine risk evaluation. The facility is not yet at the capacity necessary to use catering services. Personal lunches are provided from home. PIC will contact Health Department prior to commencing catering services. NOTE: Kenmore 1 dr upright refrigerator in 2nd floor kitchen for staff use only.

The facility is not at capacity to use catering services. Personal lunches are provided from home.

The purpose of today's visit was to conduct a first routine inspection of the above listed facility. This facility is not yet at capacity and therefore is not yet receiving meals from the caterer for the children. Kids are currently bringing in their own lunches from home. Once capacity is reached, meals will be catered in from an approved source. Breakfast and lunch will be received at 8am for 8:30 breakfast service and 11:30 lunch service. Check temperatures of food upon receipt and before lunch to ensure food arrives at 135F or above and is maintained at 135F or above until lunch service. If proper temperatures are not maintained, two deliveries may be necessary.
Reviewed employee health policy information with the CFM.
NOTE: Some items are marked N/A or N/O due to kitchen employees not present as food is not yet being delivered or served.
  • Critical: Responsibility of PIC to Require Food Employees to Report GI Symptoms or Cuts, Disease, Medical Condition or Exposure to PIC (corrected on site)
    Observation: Upon discussion with the person-in-charge, one or more of the elements of an effective employee health policy is either missing or incomplete. A complete employee health policy is required to be in place at the food establishment. At the time of this inspection, the Health Department provided and reviewed handouts and resource information in a red folder labeled "Employee Health Policy.
    Correction: A complete employee health policy must have the following elements:
    1) Employee training on foodborne illness, particularly symptoms of illness and prevention of the Big Five illnesses (see "What is Foodborne Illness" handout)
