The purpose of this visit is to conduct a routine inspection.
Obtain a food thermometer and the appropriate sanitizer test kit.
  • Food Temperature Measuring Device Required & Readily Accessible (repeated violation)
    Observation: The certified food manager could not provide a food temperature measuring device.
    Correction: A metal-stemmed probe food thermometer shall be provided and readily accessible for use in ensuring attainment and maintenance of food temperatures.
  • Sanitizer Test Kit Required
    Observation: There is no test kit located in the facility for monitoring the concentration of the chemical sanitizing solutions.
    Correction: Obtain a QUATERNARY AMMONIA test kit.

The purpose of today's visit was to conduct a routine inspection.
Facility receives cooked meals from next door (Chesterbrook Daycare) and does not have a CFM on site. No cooking is done on site. Food is served on signle-service items. The following recommendations were made:
1. A CFM (with proper photo ID) must be present on site during meal service, except if only serving packaged foods - snacks. 2. Any bowls, utensils, etc. used must be both washed and sanitized, as discussed. 3. Staff should only wash hands at handsink, remove handwashing sign that's above 3-vat sink. 4. Freezer needs to be defrosted.

The purpose of today's visit was to conduct a routine inspection. CFM was asked to discard spray bottles of oil (Pam) stored with chemicals, as no food is cooked on site.
Please ensure that staff is taking temperatures of both cold and hot foods when food is delivered, cold foods should be delivered at 41F or below (milk, yogurt) and hot foods must be at 135F or above.
  • Critical: Responsibility of PIC to Require Food Employees to Report GI Symptoms or Cuts, Disease, Medical Condition or Exposure to PIC (repeated violation)
    Observation: Upon discussion with the person-in-charge, one or more of the elements of an effective employee health policy is either missing or incomplete. A complete employee health policy is required to be in place at the food establishment. At the time of this inspection, the Health Department provided and reviewed handouts and resource information in a red folder labeled "Employee Health Policy.
    Correction: A complete employee health policy must have the following elements:
    1) Employee training on foodborne illness, particularly symptoms of illness and prevention of the Big Five illnesses (see "What is Foodborne Illness" handout)
  • Food Temperature Measuring Device Required & Readily Accessible (repeated violation)
    Observation: A meat thermometerinstead of a food thermometer was available.
    Correction: Please purchase a thermometer that can be used for both cold and hot temperatures, with a range from 0F to 212F. Please remember to calibrate it in ice water to 32F at least once a week.
