This visit was made to conduct a routine inspection. The following items should be corrected within 30 days:
-elevate ventilation vents off the floor to allow for effective cleaning of the floor.
Provide hand washing signage in 10 days.
  • Food Storage / Preventing Contamination
    Observation: Food stored on the floor and/or food stored less than 6 inches off the floor. Coffee and Chocolate Toffee Hazelnuts were improperly stored on the floor.
    Correction: Food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food at least 6 inches off the floor on approved shelving units or dunnage racks. Milk crates, soda crates, or bread racks are not suitable for food storage.
  • Equipment / Non Food / Design / Easy Clean
    Observation: Dish rack was found used for the following purpose(s): shelving.
    Correction: Milk crates, dish rack, soda crates, and/or bread racks are not designed to store or elevate food, equipment, utensils, clean linens, and single-service items. Provide only ANSI-certified (such as NSF-listed) shelving units, storage units, or dunnage racks.
  • Equip/Utensils/Linens/Single-Service/Storage, Location
    Observation: Clean equipment and single service items were found stored on the floor.
    Correction: Cleaned equipment and utensils, laundered linens, and single-service items shall be stored in a clean, dry location where they are not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination, and at least 6 inches off the floor on NSF approved shelving units or dunnage racks.
  • Handwashing Signage at Handwashing Facilities Required
    Observation: A sign or poster that notifies food employees to wash their hands is not provided at all handwashing lavatories used by food employees. Provide signage at the front and rest-rooms hand sinks. Correct in 10 days

- Provide a visible data plate for the dish machine
- Test dishmachine using a thermolabel and email a picture of test strip to A. Guerreiro
- Seal space between baseboard and floor (near warewashing area)
- Provide soap and paper towels in downstairs bathroom
- Provide a covered receptacle in downstairs bathroom
- Provide additional lighting in back prep. area
