Forty-five daily departures and eleven destinations are offered by the airport. Savannah Aviation, a charter service, is also located at the facility.

Savannah is reached by automobile on Interstate Highway 95 north-south (which links Savannah with other cities along the East Coast), and I-16 east-west (via I-75 from Atlanta.) Amtrak provides rail service to and from the city; Greyhound-Trailways provides intercity bus transportation and charter service.

Traveling in the City

Just west of the city, Interstate Highway 95 runs north and south. I-16 comes from the west and stops at the city's center. The city's historic district is ten miles east of the intersection of I-95 and I-16. U.S. 80 from Tybee Island and the Atlantic Ocean, 17 miles away, crosses the city going east and west, and U.S. 17 bisects the northwest quadrant of the city, coming from the north. Chatham Area Transit (CAT) provides local bus service and wheelchair-accessible shuttle service from downtown hotels, inns, and the visitors center to the historic district and other attractions.
