• Counseling Center Recovery Programs Youth Job Readiness Program CGCC Business Description and Vision: CGCC’s mission is to empower men and women to wholeness and develop mature individuals who are positioned for greatness in all areas of life. CGCC’s vision is to create an organization that can serve and help people to wholeness through receiving practical life lessons, clinical counseling for sustained behavioral modification, mentoring, and modeling moral and social character. CGGC proposes to offer a therapeutic milieu which values the quality of life for all people regardless of socio-economic factors. The value of “wholeness” for the individual is the sole vision of CGCC. CGCC believe wholeness of the individual empowers members of society and positions them for greatness in all areas of life. Empowered individuals directly impact families, which directly impacts communities. The projects ‘Social Theory of Change’ begins with the “wholeness” of individuals. This core value is the for CGCC is complimented by a therapeutic milieu which comprises of: mental health, substance abuse, anger management, post-traumatic stress, family issues, psychological evaluations, men and women issues, individual counseling, group therapy, grief counseling, psychological assessments, spiritual guidance and youth job readiness. CGCC is housed in a spacious, family-like, 8,000 square foot spacious facility that affords confidential individual sessions and comfortable group sessions. CGCC is located historic downtown district of Plainfield near public transportation (buses and trains). CGCC has an organizational team that includes licensed and credentialed professional clinicians. CGCC focus on the “wholeness’ of the individual is consistent with the agencies ‘Social Theory of Change’ which believes families and the community will be positively impacted as the primary indicator. These indicators will include, but not be limited to: decreased domestic violence issues, decreased recidivism for substance abuse treatment, decreased rates of recidivism for incarcerations, decreased rates of hospitalizations for mental de-escalations, increased membership retention in faith-based institutions, and increased rates of employment attendance; with the overall increased rates of quality of life. The social value of this project on the quality of life in the metropolis will provide indicators for continued implementation of this teaching model for private and public sectors, faith-based and secular institutions, and individual and families alike. CGCC proposes to develop, implement and market this Discipleship Model which will explore the Spiritual Dimension for therapeutic counseling milieu and augment existing psycho-social behavioral modification models. CGCC has positioned itself in a network of collaboration for social alliance purposes. Consistent with the agencies' 'Social theory of change,' CGCC has aligned itself with the Office of Community Development - City Hall, Plainfield, NJ. This network meets monthly to bridge community alliances and provide support for collaborations to serve the citizens of the Plainfields, and neighboring townships. CGCC also has aligned itself with the Plainfield chapter of the NAACP whose goal is to promote educational programs designed to give moral and ethical interpretation to the civil rights struggle; and provide resource assistance for religious education and social action activities, associated with the improvement of race relations. CGCC has aligned itself with the Greater Central Jersey Clergy Association whose goal is to empower the religious efforts of faith-based institutions in the greater central New Jersey areas. CGCC has aligned itself with the Plainfield Board of Education which has the tremendous responsibility of educating the children and youth of the many families in the jurisdiction. This social purpose alliance will allow for the cohesion of educational thrusts of this project by providing a continuity of care for whole families. These collaborations of social purpose alliances are vital ingredients which will be used to facilitate the goals and objectives of this project.
