Bonita Valley Ranch, located in the Sweetwater River Valley, is just a few hundred yards down the valley from the municipal golf course in Bonita. We are a recently opened, elegant answer to retirement and assisted living. The original Sweetwater Valley Ranch house and grounds are now a vibrant, park-like estate for independent and assisted living (limited to a maximum of 10 residents). -------------------- We have a special blend of beauty and comfort, with a variety of activities to accommodate different lifestyles and interests. This is not institutional living - - but family, home style living at its best. Our unique WIDE OPEN SPACES just invite peaceful relaxation. You may play croquet and lawn bowling, or stroll and picnic among the beautiful mature trees and flowers. If you wish, you can plant your own flowers and veggies in our waist-high raised garden beds - - no bending down on your knees! And for the more adventuresome, Sweetwater Regional Park has several miles of walking trails just over the back fence. (park land was once part of our original Ranch.) The golf course is only a 10-minute walk away or even closer in our electric golf cart. Plaza Bonita Shopping Center is just a few miles down the road for your weekly shopping trips. And for those who enjoy helping the newer(younger) generations, we are “partners” with Valley Vista Elementary School providing volunteer help. --------------------- We have private and semiprivate rooms for singles or couples, and parking for personal cars. The house is decorated with tasteful antiques including a pump player piano and two Victrolas. We also have an extensive book and stereo music library. On the high-tech side we offer high-speed wi-fi Internet access throughout the grounds and a 50-inch plasma TV with over 200 satellite channels. (And yes – - we do have a big red barn.)---------------------- There are several levels of living options available: Independent Living, Assisted Living, or for short-term stays - - Respite Care.--------------- Dining has a special focus at Bonita Valley Ranch. Our menu specials include shrimp, steak, crab, and even lobster! We serve healthy fresh fruits and vegetables; many picked that day from our own fruit trees and garden. Private dining is also available on either of our two patios for special occasions or when you have guests (many of our meals are served outside!).-------------- Bonita Valley Ranch has been family owned for over 50 years and was only recently converted to retirement and assisted living by Dr. Streib’s son. After looking at over fifty retirement locations and care options for his mother, from large institutions to small residential houses, he just could not bring himself to remove his mother from the serene environment of “The Ranch”, so he instead brought assisted living “here”.------------- Right now, you can take advantage of our “Charter Resident Special”. We’ll waive our initial admission fee, and take 10% off the first three month’s rent!--------------- Join us for a complimentary lunch or dinner, so you can see for yourself all that we have to offer here at Bonita Valley Ranch.
