• VitraStone a locally owned and operated manufacturing facility in Durango Co. VitraStone creates eco friendly surfaces and sinks made from 100% Durango recycled glass, sold all over the world. Working with respected architect and design firms to create functional recycled products. We have incorporated an environmental policy from using locally recycled packaging to recycling molds. VitraStone has won awards due to its environmental stewardship in creating a product with an environmental impact. Work directly with the designer & fabricator for a truely customized kitchen countertop or bathroom sink. All of our vessel sinks are hand crafted, each are unique to each other and have their own natural character. We fabricate a wide selection of sizes and shapes to accommodate every bathroom, small or large. Benefits and features of our unique blend of cementious matrix with a 70-85% recycled content. High compression strength. No special curing needed enables us to cast and work on product with in 24 hrs. Low embodied energy,unlike production of portland cements. No off-gassing, actually obsorbs CO2's during lifetime. Zero shrinkage and freeze/thaw cycle resistant, perfect for Interior or exterior use! Integrally colored can be re-finished along with being scratch and chip resistant. Resistant to most food stains and heat, as with all surfaces cleaning and gentle waxing are encouraged.
