PIC said that her godson had caught the fish and that they were for their family to use. COS- educated on proper sources for fish. PIC moved these fish to her personal freezer in the back of the store that is not accessible to customers.
  • KDA_3_20111C - --Located in the True reach in cooler, there were three dessert cups that were unlabeled. PIC indicated that they received these items individually packaged from a store in Wichita. COS- removed these items from sales floor. Located in a chest freezer on the south wall, there was a pork belly that was unlabeled. PIC indicated that it was the owner's personal food and that he had bought it at a store in Wichita. COS- removed from sales floor. Located in a chest freezer on the south wall, there was a package of Gio Lua (a pork product)and 4 packages of Nem Chua (a type of pork sausage) that did not have the net contents labeled on it and did not have the common name of the item in English. (COS)- pulled from sales floor. Educated PIC that they can weigh the item and make a label for the net weight and name.
  • KDA_3_20111F - --Located in the Frigidaire reach in freezer (RIF) there were packages of beef, the Kenmore RIF there were packages of pork, the Woods RIF there were packages of beef liver and heart. These items are being repackaged by the establishment. These food items were not labeled with safe handling instructions.
  • KDA_3_30412B - --Located in the chest freezer in the back room, there was a bag of ice that was used for making smoothies that had a cup with no handle in contact with the ice.
  • KDA_3_50116A2 - --Located in the True reach in slide cooler there was 13 packages of rice noodles at 53.6F, one 10 pound bag of rice noodles at 50.8F, 4 bags of Pad Thai noodles at 56.3F, and 7 blocks of tofu at 56.0F. Employee said that all of these foods items arrived and were stocked in the cooler yesterday. Ambient temperature of the cooler was 34.5F. The front of the cooler had lights that were emitting heat and keeping the foods toward the front warmer than the foods stored in the back of the cooler. Corrected on site (COS)- discarded. Educated person in charge (PIC) about keeping foods toward the back of the cooler and away from the lights.
