Observation: The bleach sanitizer was too weak and the water was cold. More sanitizer was made and then the bleach sanitizer was too strong. Water was added to the bleach water. SHALL ALWAYS MAINTAIN BLEACH SANITIZER AT 50-100 PPM. CORRECTED ON SITE.
- Handwashing cleanser, availability
Observation: The back hand washing and service sink are close together, the hand soap was at the service sink and NOT at the handwashing sink. Shall always use the handwashing sink and keep soap at this sink and not at the service sink. CORRECTED ON SITE.
- Posting inspection reports
Observation: The last inspection report is not posted. SHALL ALWAYS HAVE THE LAST INSPECTION REPORT POSTED AT EYE LEVEL FOR CONSUMERS TO VIEW. SHALL POST THIS INSPECTION FOR CONSUMERS TO VIEW.
- Restricted use pesticide applied by a certified applicator
Observation: Several types of insecticide were observed in this food establishment. Such as "Black Flag," "ORTHO for insects." which stated on the label FOR RESIDENTIAL USE ONLY, AND "BUG STOP." ALL OF THE ABOVE were placed in her office and is planning on taking home. The owner is aware only approved pesticide may be used in a food establishment. She was told she could purchase items from her food distributor. CORRECTED ON SITE.
- Posting of a valid license
Observation: The license was posted BUT NOT IN A CONSPICUOUS PLACE FOR CONSUMERS TO VIEW. Shall move the license in a conspicuous place for consumers to view.
- Where to wash
Observation: Observed owner washing his hands in a sink which is used for rinsing coffee drinks. Shall always wash hands in the designated handwashing sink. The other owner was educated and verbalized understanding, and plans on telling the other owner. CORRECTED ON SITE.
- Food employees hair is effectively restrained
Observation: The owner was not wearing a hair restraint. Shall wear a hair restraint such as a hair net, hat or visor that are designed and worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting exposed FOOD
- Date marking for ready to eat, PHF/TCS food prepared on-site or opened commercial container held for more than 24 hours
Observation: One package of Turkey for sandwiches was not date marked. SHALL ALWAYS date mark potentially hazardous food items if not used within 24 hours. After 7 days SHALL ALWAYS DISCARD UNUSED FOOD ITEMS. The Turkey meat was date marked during this inspection.CORRECTED ON SITE.
- Storage and maintenance of wet and dry wiping cloths
Observation: Wet wiping cloths observed sitting on food contact surfaces and not in any sanitizer. A plastic container of bleach sanitizer was stored on the floor. Wet wiping cloths are held between uses shall be stored off the floor and used in a manner that prevents contamination of FOOD, EQUIPMENT,UTENSILS, LINENS, SINGLE-SERVICE, or SINGLE-USE ARTICLES. CORRECTED ON SITE.
- Food temperature measuring devices are provided and readily accessible
Observation: The upright homestyle refrigerator does not have a temperature measuring device. ALL cooling units shall be provided with thermometers.
- Toilets and urinals provided according to law
Observation: The following toilet room doors are not shutting properly.1) The door outside the office. 2) The unisex restroom. ALL toilet room doors shall be provide with self closing and tight fitting doors. REPAIR BOTH OF THE RESTROOMS AS NEEDED.
- Food is properly labeled
Observation: Several items were not labeled. Such as the pecans,cinnamon/sugar, cinnamon, and "caramel smeer." ALL were labeled during this inspection. CORRECTED ON SITE.
