I'm going to CDMX for the first time in a couple of weeks. I'll be staying just outside of Roma. I have some idea of things that I'd like to see. I'm interested in local food/markets, architecture, nature, and pre-Columbian artifacts/history. I'm planning on using a combination of Ecobici and public transportation to get around. Looking for recommendations on some must-see places. Thanks in advance!
Well then, op, you need to hit Loma Linda in Lomas. Then Sanbornes for Enchiladas Suizas, flan and a cafecito and a cigarette. Then Polanco for Flautas and horchata. (If any of these are still around).
Bosque de Chapultepec, beautiful, huge park with museums
Cuidad Prehispánica de Teotihuacán, the pyramids just outside CDMX. Take public trans or rent a car.
Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
