FOX News Channel (FNC) finished the first quarter of 2024 as cable’s most-watched network in total day and primetime, dominating primetime viewers in cable news for 89 consecutive quarters, according to Nielsen Media Research. FNC notched its highest-rated quarter since 1Q’23 among all categories and beat CNN and MSNBC combined with total day and primetime. During the first quarter of 2024, FNC delivered 95 of the top 100 telecasts in cable news for the entire quarter.

I guess liberal attempt to kick FNC off the air is looking more and more like CNN and MSNBC is losing interest with the average viewer.
CNN paying airports to use their platform in airport terminals is not helping their overall viewership.

I don't know if I would confuse a "primetime cable news viewer" with an "average viewer". That's a rather specific elderly demographic.

But anyway does that mean Fox is the MSM?

I'm surprised that we even consider CNN or MSNBC relevant. There are literally tiktoks and Youtubers streaming from their bedroom with more viewers.

AM Radio is really the forgotten winner, they have 10-30x the amount of listeners versus viewers on TV. Rush Limbaugh was pulling in 50 million people a week, whereas primetime CNN would bring in 700k people.

round it up to 2 million Fox viewers....

...out population of adults is ~250 million

248 million people are not watching

There's ticktoks and youtubers streaming from their bedroom with more viewers than Fox too.

It's a new media world out there. Lots of choices. But rather than making us all better informed, it's actually making us all into small bubbles of insulated, isolated realities. We're a little better off than some, being here, where we're regularly exposed to other people and points of view. I cherish that, not all people do.

How will it end up? Too soon to tell!

What "liberal" "attempt" to "kick Fox off the air?"

Please provide links from legitimate sources.

it's also interesting that you separate the Conservative News Network and Universal Comcast as if the corporate conservative media is different other than branding and intensity.

The real story after reading into ratings is that NewsMax is actually very close to beating CNN in ratings on average viewers.

The Big 3 could soon will be Fox, MSNBC, NewsMax

CNN paid airports for two decades to play their station until 2022, when Zucker pulled the plug because of low airport attendance.

A week ago a RCP podcast was talking about the hush money trial and one commentor said CNN is covering it like it was the OJ trial.

Another commentor laughed and said, "Yeah... CNN...all six viewers."

What do they play now in airports? The most amusing thing to me about it was they had a special edition of CNN with someone monitoring to cut the feed if there was an airplane incident.
