Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

The Verizon Wireless Amphitheater is also known as Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre and is an outdoor concert amphitheatre with reserved seating for 10,418 and lawn-seating for 4,582. Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre changed their name to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in April 2000 but locals still refer to it today by their old name. The venue offers concerts, plays, and entertainment activities for the entire family with original ticketing from Ticketmaster and Live Nation. The venue is nestled in the hillside of Orange County and the scenery is beautiful. Seating is available all through the amphitheatre and ticket holders may bring their lawn chairs or be prepared to sit on the ground on a blanket. Binoculars are recommended depending on where the seating is. There is no food allowed in the amphitheatre except for the Symphony's performances that take place throughout the year.

Directions to the venue are easy. From the 405 Freeway south travelers should exit at Irvine Center Drive and then turn right onto Irvine Center Drive and continue approximately one half mile. The amphitheatre is on the right hand side. From the 5 Freeway north visitors should exit at Lake Forest Drive and continue until turning right onto Irvine Center Drive.
