Tahoe Park

Tahoe Park is found in Tahoe Park Proper, Tahoe Park East, Tahoe Terrace, West Tahoe Park, and Tahoe Park South neighborhoods, which are all in Sacramento, California. The park is between Highway 50 and 59th Street, less than a mile from California State University and US Davis Medical Center. The park encompasses 19 acres of land for residential recreation. Popular services and entertainments include a swimming pool, wading pool, barbecue facilities, softball, soccer, basketball, volley ball, playgrounds, and horseshoes. The park has undergone a few renovations in the 1990s and 2000s in order to make it safe and beautiful. For example new street lights, upgraded picnicking areas, fitness stations, and a jogging trail have been recent updates.

The State Fairgrounds were mostly farmland in the neighborhood until the early 1900s, when Sacramento decided to make a grid of the city in order to place a recreational park. It took until 1939 to form a proper park. There are a couple of parking areas and entrances into the park. A sign welcomes visitors to the lush grassy park. Several native trees, plants, and a few small animals inhabit the park, adding to the atmosphere and fun one can have.
