Spyglass Hill Golf Course

Officially opened in 1966, 18-hole Spyglass Hill Golf Course quickly became one of the most popular golf venues in California. It was named after a location in Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel "Treasure Island," which was based in part on the author's love for the hills and sand dunes of Pebble Beach

Before Spyglass Hill Golf Course was even a year old, the par-72 course hosted the PGA's Crosby rotation, which is now known as the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. It has also served as home to NCGA championships and medal play in the California Amateur.

For more than 40 years, Spyglass Hill has ranked among the Top 100 golf courses in America. It is highly praised for both its difficult layout by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and its scenic beauty, featuring 13 holes with elevated greens and fairways that cut through majestic pines near sandy seaside dunes and the waves of the Pacific crashing to the shore. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes add to the challenge.

Spyglass Hill Golf Course is located on Stevenson Drive, Pebble Beach, California 93953. Guests staying at local area hotels may enjoy special booking privileges for their golf reservations. The greens fees are $350, which includes a cart for resort guests. Pull carts are also permitted on the course, although they not available for rent. Caddies are both available and recommended.
