Sacramento City Actor's Theatre

Sacramento City Actor's Theatre is located at Sacramento City College in Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento, California and is approximately 25 minutes from Sacramento International Airport. The City Theatre is the performing arts program at the college and offers classes in acting, technical theatre, film studies and theatre history. All members of the community are welcome to audition and take part in the college programs.

The City Theatre season consists of various different shows and in the summer the group produces the outdoor Sacramento Shakespeare Festival. Members of the public can reserve tickets in advance and pick them up at least 15 minutes before the show. There are shows produced for children too called Storytime with about three different productions each year.

Visitors will also be able to see at least two different Shakespeare plays each year, while on the mainstage there are several different plays offered per season. After a show, theatre goers can find several dining options nearby such as Ford's Real Hamburgers, Sushi Cafe and Famous Pizza, all of which are within half a mile of the college. Families can also take children to Fairytale Town at Land Park Drive or Funderland on 17th Avenue.
