Quivira Vineyards

The Quivira Vineyards in Sonoma County have been in operation since 1981. It began as a small family winery but was purchased by Pete and Terri Kight in 2006 and has continued to bring great wine to the area. The Kight's were impressed by the area where Dry Creek and Wine Creek meet and they appreciated the historical significant of winemaking in the area. Many of the original owner's practices were retained and today the Kight's make world-class wine by using biodynamic and organic farming techniques and focus on creating top-notch wines. One of their goals is to showcase the terroir of the valley through the wines. Visiting the winery gives people an inside look at how the vineyard is farmed and how the grapes become wine. The tasting room provides an opportunity to enjoy the wines while surrounded by the landscaping of the vineyard. There are also shaded picnic areas for enjoying an afternoon at the winery and guests are welcome to explore the one-acre Estate Garden while visiting. The tasting rooms has knowledgeable staff on hand to help you choose wines to your liking and learn about the process of creating the wines offered by Quivira. Tours are also available from March through November with an appointment. Tasting fees are $5 and that fee can be used towards the purchase of an unopened bottle of wine.
