Oasis Visitor Center

Located at the northern end of Joshua Tree National Park, the Oasis Visitor Center resides at Route 62 in Twentynine Palms, just outside the park.

Joshua Tree National Park provides hours of exploration and discovery. There are twelve self-guided trails. Keys View is one of these and provides hikers with a view all the way to Mexico on a clear day to one side or a view of the San Andreas Fault on the other. Joshua Tree National Park is covered with fault lines and is a great place to see the effect that earthquakes have on nature. Tourists can also bike, rock climb, or camp in campgrounds or the backcountry.

Oasis Visitor Center opens daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The visitor center has a museum and store with books, maps, and souvenirs. Visitors can also check with park rangers at the visitor center for guided hikes, tours, campfires, and bird watching. Visitors can also watch video presentations between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. upon request. The visitor center provides drinking fountains, restrooms, picnic tables, televisions, and other beverages.

Joshua Tree National Park is located within 50 miles of other tourist attractions, such as Empire Polo Club, General Patton Memorial Museum, and a couple of casinos.
