Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association

The Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association in Monterey Peninsula, California is a club locals can belong to. The club or association helps local wineries find customers and social networking avenues in order to host events. The distinctions include Blue Grand Canyon, 8 primary soil types, 42 varietals, thermal rainbow, chardonnay and pinot noir, and diversity of experiences.

One must be a member in order to elect a new member into the group. There are also associate members who are earning their ranks in the association. Wines include several brands and varieties that allow other winemakers to taste their competition and rank the various options.

For those who are in vineyards, grape growers are allowed to sign on to the association in order to take part in the events and other offerings the Vintners and Growers Association can offer. It is a community association that also deals with stewardship of the land when necessary. Events can include wine tastings, charity events, and auctions. Those looking to purchase wine can contact the association in order to find a vendor willing to sell their product. As part of the association others can learn about tasting rooms throughout Monterey.
