Don Dahvee Park, Monterey

Don Dahvee Park, located at Don Dahvee Ln, Monterrey, CA, is a quiet park named after David Jack, a prominent Monterey landowner in the late 1800's. Don Dahvee is an oak-wooded preserve which provides a short hiking trail, bike path, and picnic tables for visitors to use. The park also features a disk golf course in its open space area. Disc golf is a game where people throw a flying disc, into a basket or at a target with the fewest number of throws.

Parking is available at the corner of Munras Ave and Don Dahvee Lane. The 35-acre park does not receive a lot of visitors as it is wedged between roads and residential areas.

Don Dahvee is situated just north of the Del Monte Shopping Center, an open-air center that is a popular shopping destination for both residents and visitors. The center opened in 1967 and has since become a Monterey landmark providing the largest array of retailers in one location.

Monterey is 112 miles south of San Francisco, 72 miles south of San Jose and 20 miles west of Salinas. The city offers a variety of outdoor and urban activities and attractions for its visitors including: the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row, several museums, shopping and dining venues and much more.
