Cook's Corner

Near Silverado, Cook's Corner is located at 19152 Santiago Road, Trabuco Canyon, CA. Completely within the boundaries of the Cleveland National Forest; the bar is a popular weekend hangout for bikers who ride on the area's many scenic winding roads.

Cook's serves breakfast (until 11 a.m.), lunch and dinner daily. The bar also provides several forms of entertainment for its patrons: an outdoor patio area with horseshoes, an indoor pool table, live music from local band on the weekends and other events. Cook's is planning on hosting a swap meet on the first Saturday of every month for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The 190-acre property was obtained by Andrew Jackson Cook in 1884. Several years later in 1926, Earl Jack Cook, his son, converted one of the cabins into a restaurant for local miners and ranchers. It became a fully operational bar after Prohibition ended in 1933. When Cook later purchased an old mess hall from the Santa Ana Army Air Base in 1946, it was expanded to include a tavern. In 1970, a motorcycle enthusiast purchased the building and shaped it into the present day roadhouse.

Minutes away from the O'Neil Regional Par, and the Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park, other area attractions include trails for horseback riding and mountain biking, hiking and camping.
