Barrington Hall

Barrington Hall is located at Barrington Drive in Roswell, Georgia and is approximately 40 minute's drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The house was built by the co founder of Roswell, Barrington King in 1842 and remained in the family until 2002. Now visitors can come to the home every day of the year except national holidays with tours starting on the hour from 10am to 3pm Monday to Saturday and 1pm to 3pm on Sundays.

The house is built in the Greek Revival Style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors will be able to see many of the original family possessions including furniture, paintings and artifacts. The outside features 14 Doric columns that line three sides of the house, while the seven acre grounds include the only antebellum public garden in the greater Atlanta area.

Visitors will be able to explore the outbuildings as well, which include the smoke house, ice house, a barn and two wells. After a visit to Barrington Hall there are many other places of interest in the downtown area of Roswell including shops, restaurants and art galleries. Anyone looking for somewhere to eat can try Nagoya Japanese Seafood in King Street or J Christopher's in Atlanta Street.
