A Taste of Monterey

Monterey Wine Country is home to numerous wineries and vineyards, and A Taste of Monterey represents them with its large Visitors' Center on Cannery Row overlooking beautiful Monterey Bay. Here, visitors can relax and enjoy tastings of local appellations in the very heart of the viticulture district, while enjoying panoramic views of the Pacific coast.

A Taste of Monterey represents more than 70 regional wineries. The samples on offer range from Chardonnay to Zinfandel, including the best local products as judged at the annual Monterey County Fair. Winery maps and tour information are available for those who wish to go exploring the area that produces such fine wines. There are reds, whites, roses, sparkling wines, dessert wines, wine accessories, gifts, and even artwork for sale in the Monterey Theme Gift Center, too.

Daily wine tastings include a selection of six different wines for $10. Reserve tastings of five wines cost $20. Wines are served by the glass with table seating overlooking the bay. Private tasting and events can also be arranged in the Visitors' Center's 4,000-square-foot event space, complete with catering. A Taste of Monterey is located one block from the Monterey Bay Aquarium at 700 Cannery Row, Monterey, California 93940-1072. Tastings are limited to those aged 21 years and over.
