A FEW SECONDS LATER A LOUD IMPACT WAS HEARD ON RT WING TIP. PILOT NOTICED EXTENSIVE DMG AND LANDED IMMEDIATELY. BIRD HIT LEADING EDGE OF RT WING. LEADING EDGE SMASHED IN 8". AN OUTER WING RIB WAS CRACKED AND 2 RIBS WERE BENT. THE SPAN OF THE DEFORMATION WAS ALMOST 3' AND A MAJOR STRUCTURAL AIRFRAME REPAIR WAS REQUIRED. NO RESIDUE OF THE BIRD WAS FOUND.
