These are my fondest memories. To think that I never seen McArthur Mall angers me but if I dont stop writing all my favorite places I will cry so I shall shut my fingers up now.
Wait a minute now. No "best of" list is complete without mentioning the most beautiful lake on the face of the earth. Smith Mountain Lake below Roanoke where we spent many summer vacations. While Im out there I have to mention our frequent stops in Schuyler, Virginia where the real life Waltons Mountain is. The originonal Ike's General store burned down 20 some years ago but it was rebuilt and we have lunch there. Right across the street is Waltons Museum. This is where the real life Waltons, the Hammer Family lived. Oh Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown.
Ah what memories. I will be back.
