No thanks. Without the rest of the state to politically balance it out Nova would quickly turn into Maryland.

A better idea would be to give Arlington County to DC.

I live in Richmond. From Boston. Its not southern anymore. I literally can't remember last time I heard a southern accent. literally 80% of the people on my block are from the northeast. I run into enormous numbers of new yorkers

Richmond used to be southern. Now its mid atlantic.

When I visited NOVA I noticed a lot of Sleepy's and Wegman's, chains I associate with the N.E.
