I was 15yr old at the time of this incident,. While my friend and i were walking home from school one afternoon, during the late 70's, we were walking up what was, and still is called the new road, Opposite this newly built road was a pond, with an old dirt track leading to it!. We were engaged in deep conversation, when out of the corner of my eye, i saw a small figure of about 5ft, walking up this ''dirt track'' toward the pond, dressed in ''nuns clothing", then she just disappeared. I stopped talking and asked my friend "did she see what i had just seen"!? and she said "no"!. It wasn't untill now, 30yrs later, i was relating my experience to a friend, who by the way is 18yrs older than i,. She was taken aback when i explained to her what i had seen and experienced all those years ago,. Apparently her friend, with whom she had attended school with had joined a convent,. Then because of some family tragedy, this friend had come home, couldn't take any more and committed suicide in the local pond in the early 60's.. My daughter's friend's father also witnessed her,. He and his friend were walking home, from work over the mountain top, he said he saw this nun, but unlike my experience she called out his name! I think that spooked him a touch! because he said, "his friend and he ran all the way home"! LOL
