CBD oil is legal in Chile and Argentina. That should work for the anxiety. Could help with sleep too.

Also for sleep, has he tried melatonin? When I take this rarely it works great. However, I think one can develop a tolerance to it, if used regularly.

Don't take any nonsense from those customs guys with AK-47s or the drug sniffing dogs. You have a right to get stoned and watch Star Trek re-runs in Costa Rican Hotels.

One's views of the morality of marijuana are entirely irrelevant to the topic of your friend's inquiry about taking some with him to a foreign country. The possible legal ramifications of his doing so, on the other hand, are extremely relevant. He can choose to be "comfortable" on his vacation and risk a whole lot of uncomfortable things if he's caught, or he can abstain from his comfort and eliminate the risk. It's his choice to make, but he ought to go into it with eyes wide open.

Except that no one that thought they were helping spoke from any personal experience. Some folks came with a genuine curiosity and a genuine open mind, and as you can see, some others did not.
