My NEXT guess was going to be the bridge connecting Galveston Island to...

Oh hell...wait...seriously and no BS...I just thought of it...would it be that bridge connecting Port Aransas to Padre Island....???? I THINK that is the one...REAL high arching sucker...???

LOL.....nope! A different region than your first two answers.
That may be the longest, but not the highest above wate level.

I swear...I am almost giving up. And it is a matter of state pride I don't look it up! LOL

OK...it aint the Galveston Island bridge to the mainland. It aint the HIGH arching bridge connecting Port Aransas to Padre Island....

Is this a trick question?

Total height of the Corpus harbor bridge is 243ft (which is not what I'm asking)
The Corpus Harbor Bridge has a clearance of 138ft (height above water).

This clearance is still over 125ft lower than the highest bridge above the water in Texas.

I'll post the correct answer at 7:45....

BINGO!
Correct answer:
US 90 in Val Verde County across the Pecos River....273ft above the water! In 1954 the original bridge located 50ft above the water was washed away by an 86ft wall of water....so they decided to build it a little higher!



Note the cement truck on the left side of the pic, and yes those are people on the right side.
