FSU 33K kids, 9400 at FAMU, 38K at TCC. So you might expect more flights when those 80,000 kids want to go home!

Not to mention alumni, parents and fans for sporting events that flock to the city. Thanksgiving, Christmas break, Spring Break and the end of Spring semester are all predictable dates. However, the surge all the aforementioned events may provide will never make up for increased baseline demand which Tallahassee has not proven it can support.

It's surprising but I have found that it's cheaper in most cases to driving to JAX, ALT, or TPA. Most times at least one night in a hotel must be factored in and then of course, gas and wear and tear on the car. I love the smallness of TLH - you can get there less than 1 hour before your flight and still have plenty of time to sit around.

It's about time. The airport has so much potential and is highly underutilized. Time will tell how much of an impact it will truly make but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

When I fly for pleasure, that's almost always out of JAX. For work, TLH -- not my money. The convenience-cost conundrum is real.

Pretty much. The last time I flew leisurely out of TLH was when AirTran was still around. It's not economical.
