Post Pretty short list. . .

Do-- bring plenty of sunscreen and a hat, enjoy life, do all outdoor stuff early in the am or later in the pm during the scorching summers, visit high-elevation places like Pine Valley/Oak Grove/Cedar Breaks/Brian Head/etc in the summer (PV is close by and beautiful in the summer), expect your veg garden to die if you are not a professional , go see the parks/outdoor areas, expect people to be friendly, plan on being patient while driving (a lot of small town driving mentality still exists, many don't know how to drive with 'traffic' so it appears rude), pick up a rules of the road book from the dmv because they are different from state to state, plan on filling up a cooler with water and ice if you are moving in June! (of course with weather being the way it has been lately you may need a coat instead), go see the plays, go out to Sand Hollow Aquatic center (the kids will enjoy it), dig in and enjoy all that southern Utah has to offer.

Don't-- be afraid to get out and get involved, ever buy a car without a/c and window tinting, forget to schedule an exterminator for the roaches , buy a house without automatic sprinkler systems unless you really like watering, visit the parks during tourist season-- wait 'til they go home it's much less crowded and cooler that's the upside of being a local , ummm. . . I think that's about it. Ahh, you may also want to warn anyone with a lead foot in the family to keep it down on the freeways, HP from the AZ strip to Nephi is notorious. Good luck with your upcoming move. If you would like help unloading when you get here let me know.
