If Barca could've afforded Messi and he was lacing it up for them in 2 months, you would be quiet. Your blinders are amusing.

It sounds like it was the case based on some comments made regarding "lifestyle". They already own a home in Miami too. It is also much closer to home than Saudi Arabia is.

Your lack of comprehension for the reluctance of Champions League clubs to sign expensive 36 year old players likely to swiftly decline in competitiveness is amusing.

Acting like Lionel Messi is anything remotely close to the average player. Every single team in the upcoming UCL would gladly have him in their 18 and most would in their starting 11. They just can't afford to throw the weight of the entire league behind him like MLS could. That doesn't diminish his quality one iota.

Barca teammate Sergio Busquets will be joining Messi in Miami….Jordi Alba could be next.

Inter Miami not playing good now but that should change shortly.

Oh good, another player too old to cut it in Europe. Maybe they could bring back Eto'o and Mascherano as well while they're at it, get the whole Barca team back together. There's also very little incentive to do well in MLS, if you lose, oh well, I'll just collect my paycheck.

Also, doesn't MLS have pretty tight financial restrictions? Is it just flouting them left, right and center (and still doing terribly) or do they have special dispensation?

Busquets will likely be a mistake in the same vein of Pirlo. If there is one thing you need to succeed in MLS, it is be able to run the whole match. His mobility was never his strong suit and it is gone now. Pirlo was a bust for NYC, getting worked by the like of Tyler Adams when he was on RBNY.

That's Messi cooked too then.

Running for 90 minutes in Miami during the summer is my idea of hell.
