Does anyone know if the commissioners have to live in their elected districts? Is it permitted to live in another home most of the time but keep the address in their districts?

The Caddo commission states the following:A commissioner shall continue to be legally domiciled and to actually reside within the district from which elected during the term of office, unless such legal domicile or actual residence be changed by a reapportionment of the district. Should the legal domicile and/or actual residence of a commissioner change from the district from which elected, unless such domicile or residence be changed by reapportionment, the office shall automatically become vacant, which vacancy shall be filled as set out hereinafter.

This is from The Parish Charter Art.III Sec. 3-01.C

Thanks, but is there a clause stating how long per year they must reside in their respective districts? I know a commissioner who lives outside their district and suspect they are using some kind of loophole.
Who has oversight of parish commissioners?

My reply was copied and pasted from the Caddo Commission charter. I read through most of it and didn't see any clause relating to full or part time residency. Just what I posted is what I read; it is the most relevant to your question.
