If I have two PCs (Desktop and Laptop) and would like to use Google Drive to sync its data. I am new to syncing data between different PCs.
Desktop PC: I use it on a daily basis.
Laptop: I rarely use it, maybe use it every few months when on vacation.
Let us say, I don't use laptop from now to June vacation, and there are a lot of activities (adding folders/files, deleting folders/files, rename folders/files, etc) on desktop PC from now to June.
When I log in laptop in June, will it sync correctly given there are a lot of activities? How does Google Drive sync data work? When I log in laptop in June, is it possible that Google Drive will consider laptop data as most current version of data, then update Google Drive data based on laptop data? While laptop data is a few months out of date.
It will sync correctly if you set it up correctly. But I would certainly do some testing.
- Create a Google account if you don't have one. (If you do have a Google account make sure it doesn't have any data at drive.google.com).
- On the desktop make a folder to be used for syncing. (I call mine "File Cabinet - Google")
- Install Google Drive on the desktop and configure it to sync your new folder.
- Copy a random file to your new folder.
- Go to drive.google.com and verify the random file got synced to the cloud.
At this point you have a baseline configured so that Google Drive will work correctly. To verify it will work, try various testing scenarios. For example:
- On the laptop make a folder using the same name as you used on the desktop. Leave the new folder empty.
- Install Google Drive on the laptop and configure it to sync your new folder.
- Verify that the random file got synced to your laptop.
Test with other scenarios as well, verifying it works the way you expect.

Thank you. I was a little bit concerned if it will work correctly to sync after long period of time, there will be a lot of change over a few months.
Does Web & App Activity Auto-delete (Google Account Setting) apply to Google Drive sync data?
Web & App Activity is not related to Google Drive.
