Here's a list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area this weekend.



MARCH 1 - AUGUST 30

Yoga on the Beach -- Siesta Key Public Beach, 9 am - 10:30 am each Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat.



FRIDAY

Music on Main -- block party at Lakewood Ranch's Main Street, 6 - 9 pm, family friendly events, live music, food & drink vendors.

Fresh Fridays in downtown Sarasota -- Vibes on Palm: block party on Palm Ave near Art Ovation hotel. Live music, food & drink vendors from downtown restaurants, 7 - 10 pm.



FRIDAY - SATURDAY

Sarasota Orchestra Pops Concert: Back to the 80's. Ed Smith Stadium, 8 pm, tickets $20 & up.

Be Fabulous Music & Arts Pride Fest -- various locations around Sarasota.

SATURDAY

Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.

Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.

Bradenton Farmers Market -- on Old Main Street (400 12th St W), 9 am - 2 pm.

Venice Farmers Market -- at the City Hall, 401 W Venice Ave, 8 am - 1 pm.
Summer Hours: 8 am - noon.

UTC Fit -- free, various get fit activities each week. The Green at UTC mall, 9:30 - 10:30 am.

Baseball: Bradenton Marauders Star Wars Night -- pre-game events, t-shirts, fireworks after the game. 6:30 pm, LECOM Park in Bradenton. Tickets $11 - $15.

Kentucky Derby Race for the Roses Party -- watch the Kentucky Derby on TV, drinks & food available. 5 - 8 pm, Ritz- Carlton in Sarasota.

Concert: Tribute to ABBA, 8 pm, Van Wezel. Ticket info at www.vanwezel.org

Manatee Taco Fest -- taco & food vendors, cocktails, entertainment, petting farm. $10/adult, 13 & under get in free, Vets get in free, free parking. Tickets at the door. 12 - 7 pm, Manatee County Fairgrounds, 1402 14th Ave W, Palmetto.

Ringling Underground -- live music, cocktails, art. 8 - 11 pm, Ringling Museum Courtyard, $15/adult.




SATURDAY & SUNDAY

PAL Sailor Circus Spring Show -- over 100 youth circus performers, 2 shows daily, Sailor Circus Arena, 2075 Bahiva Vista St in Sarasota, Show times & ticket info at: https://circusarts.org/performances/...r-performance/

Downtown Sarasota Spring Craft Fair -- artisans, food vendors, 10 am - 5 pm, Five Points Park in Sarasota.

St. Armand's Circle Art & Craft Festival -- artisans, 10 am - 5 pm.
(Please note: 5/4 was originally the date for Corvettes on the Circle, which was cancelled because cars will no longer be allowed to be parked on the Circle's grass.)

Cinco de Mayo Celebrations in downtown Sarasota -- both El Melvin & Circo are hosting block parties this weekend with food, music, drinks.



SUNDAY

Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market -- Waterside Place, 10 am - 2 pm.

The Meadows Farmers Market -- At the Meadows shopping village off Honore, 10 am - 2 pm.

Wellen Park Farmers Market -- 9 am - 1 pm.

The Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Show -- free show, starts 2 pm, 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy by Mote
LAST SHOW OF THIS SEASON.

Sundays at the Bay -- free performance by various artists at The Oval on the Bay (1055 Blvd of the Arts), 4 - 5:30 pm.

Siesta Key Beach Drum Circle -- free event, people gather about an hour before sunset.

Big Tiki Lounge Cinco de Mayo Celebration & Cornhole Tournament -- tournament 12 - 4 pm, Cinco celebration 12 - 10 pm. 5311 Ocean Blvd, Siesta Key.

Kenny G -- famous saxaphonist, concert, 7 pm. Ticket info at www.vanwezel.org
