Born and raised. Army father was stationed here in 40s and loved it. Retired here in 55 and I was born a few years later. He also loved Port Aransas where we usually vacationed. My husband and I still love going down there, were there last weekend. We love SA, too. It's always been my home except for a year in S. Cal.

WooHoo for you! I too lived in SE San Antonio most of my life. Moved to some acreage NE of F'ville about 10 yrs. ago. Now I just tell people "I live out in the sticks -- no, literally, I live out in the sticks"! Or, some times, I say I live in far, Far, FAR SE San Antonio!

What High School did you go to...? that was the # question asked at parties in SA when I was in my twenties. Hearing that meant that most young people around town were born and raised in SA or surrounding areas.

It's changing though.
