Sleep apnea / sleep doctor in SA? (San Antonio, Center: insurance, university, office)

I am having some issues with sleep apnea. I have not been diagnosed, but would like to speak with a doctor or have a sleep study done to help me out.
Anyone recommendations or info for someone in San Antonio?

I highly recommend seeing an ENT doctor, and doing a sleep study.
My doctor was Frank Miller, he used to be at University Hospital, but has since moved to his own office.
He did my UPPP surgery and it was great, I sleep very well now.

Thank you Chud, I will look into setting an appointment. How painful is that surgery? I've heard it's pretty bad for a few weeks. I'm glad to here it was successful for you. This is starting to affect my life at this point (ie lack of sleep) and I do need to get some help for this.

I saw Dr. Michael W. Wooley, Sleep Snore Center and was very pleased.

You have to stay over night for the test. The room was very cozy and I felt right at home.
My insurance Atena paid the total bill.

Have heard it (post UP3 pain) described as being on par with the pain following an adult tonsillectomy.

I had mine with an adult tonsillectomy, removal of my uvula and some sinus work. My ENT (RIP) told me it was the most pain he could cause someone who didn't have cancer. I was on Demorol for 3 days and Vicodin for 3 weeks. It was miserable, but this was 19 years ago, the procedure is probably easier now than it was then.

My wife went there several months ago. Yes you have to stay overnight for a sleep study. Wife like the doctor and said staff is courteous.

My general doctor suspected I had sleep apnea. However, he arranged for me to do the sleep study at home. Snap Diagnostics

It was really easy to do. He was right - I did have sleep apnea so I now sleep with a CPAP machine.

I screen and treat a lot of sleep apnea. The MD that I work with that I have the most respect for is named Avie Grunspan. I think he is amazing. So much so that my mother is his patient. Take that for what its worth. Oh and dont get a UP3 with out a second opinion from a sleep doctor who is NOT an ENT. I can't make that point BOLDLY enough. DO NOT get a UP3 without a second opinion from a sleep doctor who is NOT an ENT. I would copy that 1000 times if I could.
