Gee, moved here from some place else, and egads, get a load of the crime in this place!

I'm damn near afraid to leave my house.

Police are not around, or not allowed to do anything? Bad people rule the streets, seriously.

When they do crime in Sacramento, criminals dont even run away after, because they know no one is going

to stop them. They just saunter off after, to the ice cream shop.

Google "Sacramento crime", +violence, +attacks, +robbery.

Some say, there's lots of gangs here from Oakland? Isn't that nice. For some reason if you rob, attack etc, you're

defended in Sacramento.

Just in case you were thinking about investing here, this is something you might want to know about. This place is pretty much a

hell-hole. Developers, keep gating your communities to sell.

Curious, what part of town do you live? It would all depend on the neighborhood.

It seems like you regret moving to Sacramento and I'm sorry to hear that, but maybe it's time to think about moving rather than just constantly talking about what a horrible place it is. I sure don't see a lot of crime around where I live, maybe you just picked a crappy neighborhood?

I didn’t want to appear biased as there is another stat that goes along with those cites that have high violent crime rates, but we are not allowed to talk about it.

Oakland’s violent crime rate is more than double than Sacs, but I am alarmed how high Sacs has become. We need to figure out ways to lower it. Having said that, Sac city and county get dumped on when they release prisoners. We unfairly get a disproportionately larger share than other cities.

It is interesting to how much higher the violent crime rate is in the city of Sacramento versus Sac Metros other larger cities.

Violent crime per 100,000 in 2016
Sacramento 770
Elk Grove 350
Roseville 150

Now we know why our families and friends move out there. We already knew that, but to see the numbers is a wake up call.

Having said that, the City of Sac gets dumped upon unfairly when they release prisoners. But notice the voters in the City of Sac voted yes to release prisoners while voters in Roseville voted No.
