JoshB, your photos most remind me of the Champlain Valley in western Vermont. They could possibly pass for the Pioneer Valley in MA, the Litchfield Hills in CT, or the St. John Valley in ME. But I think they look more like areas of Upstate New York and Pennsylvania.
Needless to say, you live in a very nice part of the country!

Ken, I'm assuming your speaking of my pictures? I always wondered if any one thought they looked like New England.
Areas south of the northwoods in WI have far fewer pine trees compared with most areas of NH. VT is a little more open with more dairy farms in the rural areas.
I currently live in Tokyo, quite possibly the polar opposite of these pictures.
I was born and raised in New York city.
I could never understand as a young man (now long in the tooth) why anybody would want to live way out in "the middle of nowhere"...
These pictures sum it up, absolutely stunningly beautiful. I'd say living in Tokyo this is what I miss the most....nature.
Thanks for the pics.

5,
There is nothing like being way out in the country listening to the birds and coyotes. It's all a symphony to me.
