Our city suffered a devastating tragedy of the worst kind this morning.
We are blessed to have such outstanding police and fire departments to watch over us. I think that sometimes we take them for granted and although they are heroes they are also humans and are affected by these situations. I was there today and I could see it in their eyes and body language. I’m certainly struggling with it myself. If you see an officer or firefighter in your travels, throw them a wave or give them a thank you.
And I want to thank Father Marciano our chaplain. He is always there to bring comfort to not only victims but to our first responders.
I’ve already started receiving inquiries from people about how to help the family. If there is a call for help I will pass it on. Warwick is such a wonderful community that really looks out for each other.

Joshua McCollough of 90 Aspinet Drive in Warwick was arrested today for violently robbing a woman a couple days ago. The robbery happened in the parking lot of the Citizens Bank on Charles Street in North Providence. That's right near Mineral Spring Ave...and close to Twin's Pizza.
" Jeffrey Goss pleaded not guilty and was released on personal recognizance. According to a police report obtained by 12 News, Goss was arrested Sunday afternoon in Tiverton after a two-car crash on Route 24. Police said Goss smelled like alcohol and appeared disoriented and off-balance. After failing to complete field sobriety tests and declining a breathalyzer, Goss was placed under arrest. The police report said Goss admitted he had drank several beers at a bar in Seekonk."
I wonder which bar in Seekonk? There aren't that many of them.

I don't understand why this guy only served 15 years for his SECOND murder! That's ridiculous.

He lives in Warwick, there was a standoff at his house in Warwick, and he was arrested in Warwick.
No reasonable person would say this isn't Warwick related.
As for including it in this thread, would you have preferred a new thread?
Here's an idea: request that the thread title be changed to "Warwick Crime Thread". Perhaps it could even be a sticky. I'd like that.
